The Adult Career Training program offers under and unemployed adults the opportunity to learn a new career, while growing personally and professionally. Our small class sizes, deep impact and extra services move adults toward new careers in health information, pharmacy technician, and cybersecurity + GRC fields. These are careers that pay may offer benefits and provide opportunity for career advancement.

ARTS + TECH
Our nationally-recognized program engages high school students from Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) in creative, tuition-free after school experiences from September through May. We also offer summer camps for middle and high school students from any school district, plus a paid summer employment opportunity for select teens.
The Creative Aging Series explores creativity through a variety of media with others who wish to do the same. Workshops are designed for adults age 55 or better and all skill levels are welcome.
STEP YEAR AT WMCAT
Step Year at WMCAT was specifically designed to help young adults find a career or educational path that’s right for them. Step Year is a unique mix of college and career exploration, self-discovery, and a paid internship. The program is tuition-free and is open to young adults ages 18-24 who have a high school diploma or GED and live in Kent County.
