PROPOSE A PROJECT
The nationally-recognized WMCAT Teen Arts + Tech Program is interested in partnering with local businesses and organizations on creative placemaking opportunities for our teen artists. Do you have an idea for working with our teens and professional teaching artists to design and create something great? We want opportunities where students can develop their expressive skills and creative confidence while contributing to the community through the arts.
WMCAT features the best in collaborative learning environments, meeting spaces, classrooms, and gallery/gathering areas. Our new state-of-the-art space is located on Grand Rapids’ dynamic Westside, near the center of downtown.
WMCAT offers field trips, daytime classes and semester-long arts experiences for middle and high school classrooms throughout Kent County. Bring your students to WMCAT to create and learn in our dedicated, professionally-equipped studio spaces. Professional teaching artists will guide middle and high school students through experiences in photography, illustration, fiber arts, ceramics, app design, video game design, video and music production, OR any combination you choose!
Public Agency is an initiative led by the West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT). WMCAT is an innovative, forward-thinking organization grounded in the symbiotic relationship between space, technology and best-practice programming to provide equitable access to opportunity.
Ambrose is a social enterprise by the West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT). Since 2008, we’ve been designing and screen printing custom shirts that set our customers apart while positively impacting our community.
