Arts + Tech

Teen Arts + Tech Afterschool Program

Enrollment for Fall 2020 is now open!

New this semester, all Grand Rapids Public high school students are eligible to register for tuition-free WMCAT Where You’re At remote studio sessions. Beginning on September 21, 2020, WMCAT will be offering 4-week long remote studio classes where we encourage creative expression, connect you to teens with similar interests, and support you through your high school journey.

For the first time, students from other high schools in the Grand Rapids area will be considered if seats are available!

STUDIOS

September 21 will kick-off classes that will meet online as a group on Mondays from 3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. (in Google Classroom and Zoom). The rest of the week you will have free time to complete amazing art! We will also offer optional, in-person open studio days once a week for those who want to use our studio resources and work with other students and our teaching artists. It is not required to attend open studios to complete the class and we will follow all social distancing guidelines. Check out all 5 of the studio options below.

Every student will get a supply kit of what they need to complete the class project, and we will talk to each of you about how to set up an easy, free personal workspace in your home. Details will be shared with your enrollment confirmation

APPLICATIONS

Students should complete an application to be a part of WMCAT Where You’re At. Grand Rapids Public School students will be prioritized, but if you are an interested student within Kent County, your application will be considered if seats are available.
