Andrea Owens
Andrea joined WMCAT as our medical billing instructor in 2014 with a wealth of experience in health care support services, education and administration. She was an instructor in the medical assistant program at Everest Institute, working with students on skill-based training and career development. Andrea also served as the coordinator of the SMART Program – Occupational Health at Spectrum Health for more than 10 years, through which she improved processes, implemented a quality improvement program, and worked within the regulatory system. She was also a billing specialist at Metro Health. Andrea earned her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from Cornerstone University.
