Trudy Ngo-Brown, M.Ed.

Director of Public Agency


Trudy Ngo-Brown joined WMCAT in 2015 as director of arts + tech before becoming director of Public Agency in 2021. Trudy’s career has centered on creating access to quality learning experiences with roles as a classroom teacher, teacher educator, consultant, and nonprofit leader. She is a coach with Stanford University’s, where she facilitates design thinking projects with corporate and public sector partners. Trudy is a 2017 alumnus of the National Equity Project’s REAL (Racial Equity in Action Leadership) cohort and in the same year was recognized in the Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. Prior to WMCAT, she worked at Kent Intermediate School District in the areas of career and workforce readiness and English language learner education. She has also taught at Kentwood Public Schools, at Chicago Public Schools, and in Japan. Trudy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas and her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
