Trudy Ngo-Brown is the Director of Arts + Tech and leads a talented team to create dynamic, student-centered learning spaces for students to build their creative confidence and elevate their voice within our community. She also works alongside Public Agency to support the practice of equity-centered design and integration of design thinking principles within WMCAT and for external partners and clients. Trudy has been with WMCAT since 2015 and has 20 years of combined experience in education as a K-adult classroom teacher, teacher educator, and education consultant. Prior to WMCAT, she worked at Kent Intermediate School District in the areas of career and workforce readiness and English language learner education. She has also taught in Kentwood Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, and in Japan. Trudy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas (Hook ’em!) and her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
