Dana Romero joined WMCAT in 2026 as development manager. They bring more than 10 years of nonprofit experience, most recently serving as Manager of Marketing, Communications & Outreach at YWCA West Central Michigan. Throughout their career, Dana has worked across fundraising, communications, and community engagement, with a focus on building relationships and sharing stories through digital media, including short-form video. Dana earned an Associate of Arts in Music from Grand Rapids Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Community Development and Psychology. They currently serve on the board of Girls Choral Academy and are passionate about supporting arts education and creative opportunities for young people. Outside of work, Dana enjoys singing, playing piano, guitar, and ukulele, writing original music, and gaming.
