Administrative Associate


Angelica Hay joined WMCAT in 2023 as administrative associate. Angelica is a musician, painter, and new media artist based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Her studio work is primarily focused on the intersection of science and art employing sound, light, videos and traditional painting. Her interest in sound goes beyond her studio practice and in late 2016, Angelica formed Pink Sky, an instrumental electronic band and collaborative art project with her husband, Ryan Hay. Angelica earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Michigan State University, then earned a Master of Fine Art in Painting and Master of Art in Visual Critical Studies from Kendall College of Art and Design as a fellowship recipient. Angelica has had her art displayed at the Fed Galleries at KCAD and Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA), and she has performed at the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Public Library, and Fed Galleries.
