The Workforce Development Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Adult Career Training Program, including recruiting, providing holistic student support, planning, connecting students to community resources and partners, and facilitating Leadership By Design sessions when needed. Additionally, this position will lead the alumni connection initiative, supporting program graduates and their families as they continue to navigate transition.
The ideal candidate enjoys engaging the community, understands the complexities and impact of systemic inequities, is familiar with navigating the career landscape, has knowledge of Kent County supports available to students, and is able to listen and problem-solve with students to ensure they feel cared for and supported throughout their journey. In addition, this position will support recruitment and retention efforts for other Workforce Development programs as needed.
