Director of Finance + Operations

The Director of Finance + Operations establishes and maintains essential infrastructure and business operations related to nonprofit finance and accounting, personnel, facilities, and technology in support of WMCAT’s mission and growth. The director provides leadership and coaching to two administrative team members in core aspects of healthy financial management, human resources, and overall operational excellence to ensure fulfillment of our mission and long-term sustainability. This includes but is not limited to: establishing and implementing financial practices that advance the organization; contributing to a culture of work that aligns with WMCAT’s values; and supporting the management of WMCAT’s physical and digital infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen in areas of budgeting, financial reporting, and nonprofit financial accounting; has experience in operational areas of human resources (HR), technology (IT), facilities, and administrative processes; and can communicate with and lead both internal and external stakeholders, including staff, Board of Directors, funders, and other stakeholders in areas of financial and operational matters.

Salary, Exempt, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Hiring Range
$68,000 – $72,000
