Arts + Tech
Creativity belongs here – and so do you.
Making space for teens to elevate their voices and build creative confidence through visual arts and technology engagement.
Teen Arts + Tech
The Teen Arts + Tech Program is a nationally recognized, tuition-free afterschool experience where Grand Rapids Public Schools high school students use visual arts and digital media to:
- Build creative confidence
- Elevate their voices
- Connect with community
- Explore possibilities for the future
Students participate in semester-long studios led by professional teaching artists. Each studio provides hands-on learning, collaboration, and portfolio-worthy projects — from ceramics and fashion design to music production and 3D animation.
Daytime Studios
WMCAT’s Daytime Studios bring the power of creativity into classrooms across West Michigan. Designed for middle and high school groups, these experiences can take the form of:
- Field trips to WMCAT’s professional studios
- In-school workshops focused on art and technology
- Semester-long partnerships where students dive deep into digital or visual media
Each experience is hands-on, standards-aligned, and customizable for your classroom goals.
Summer Intensive
The Summer Intensive is a multi-day creative experience where students explore a variety of artistic studios and group activities. Intensives are project-based, led by both guest artists and WMCAT teaching artists, and designed to help students collaborate, experiment, and express themselves.
